Matthew Corradini

Born in 1975, Matteo Corradini lives in the Piacenza countryside. He is a writer and Hebrew scholar, editor of the Rizzoli edition of Anne Frank's "Diary of a Young Woman." He specializes in the Terezín ghetto in the Czech Republic, where he is a founder of the Terezín Composer Institute. In Italy, he created the Pavel Zalud Quartet and the Pavel Zalud Orchestra, musical groups that use instruments built in Terezín. He runs workshops on expression and teaching memory in Italy and abroad. He has taught at the Polytechnic University of Milan and the Catholic University of Piacenza; he also works as a theater director and organizes musical conferences. He was among the winners of the 16th edition of the City of Cuneo Award for the First Novel with "La repubblica delle farfalle" (The Republic of Butterflies). www.matteocorradini.com
