The Beatles' neighbor

location: Toselli Theatre
Paid ticket
price € 5

In the 1960s, Italy discovered rock, and it was a revolution. Even if they couldn't understand the words, even if the music was completely different from what they'd heard before. Even if at first no one knew how to play it. Words and freedom, freedom and words. And in that Italy, there was a boy who, like us, loved the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, who grew up in the provinces, fell in love with Dylan, discovered Zappa, wrote his first fanzines, and understood that music could be a compass for orienting oneself in the world. This was Riccardo Bertoncelli (Abitavo a Penny Lane, Feltrinelli), who would later make music his life. Between afternoons spent in record stores, nights spent on free radio, trips to London and Paris, in conversation with Matteo Corradini, the story of the music that changed history. And some of that music will be played live by the trio of Simone Pagani (bass and vocals), with Thomas Pagani (guitar and vocals) and Luca Bongiovanni (drums).
