Born in Florence, she has lived in the beautiful Valdambra countryside since 2010, between the Valdarno di Sopra, Siena, and Arezzo. After years working for a multinational fashion company, in 2010 she moved to a farmhouse in the countryside and developed a passion for permaculture. She experimented with self-production and founded the association Il grano e le rose (The Wheat and Roses). In 2012, she met Slow Food Colli Superiori del Valdarno and discovered Terra Madre: from that moment on, she was never the same. She began working on educational projects and activities for adults until, in 2014, at the Riva del Garda Congress, she became a member of the National Council. Since July 2021, she has been president of Slow Food Italy, the first woman to hold this role.
