Mauro Bonazzi (The Time of Wonder. When Greek Philosophers Revealed the World, Il Mulino) takes us on a journey to the origins of one of humanity's most extraordinary adventures, centered on a handful of extravagant characters who stopped taking reality for granted. From Anaximander's heavens to Heraclitus's harmony of opposites, from Pythagoras's sacred numbers to Socrates's doubt, all the way to the great systems of Plato and Aristotle. This is how philosophy was born: as the first great investigation into nature and ourselves. Ultimately, there is nothing more revolutionary than an intelligence capable of marveling to rediscover its place in the world. In conversation with him is Guido Affini.
