Each of us is a geographer, each of us experiences our own space with our own culture. Cartography has often been an instrument of power and colonialism. Matteo Meschiari (Lands That Are Not Mine. A Counter-Geography in 111 Maps, Bollati Boringhieri) proposes a counter-geography in 111 maps that seeks the perspectives and viewpoints of other peoples and nations, such as those of the natives. These maps are not only useful and concrete, but also pursue elements that transport us to other dimensions, even metaphysical and magical ones. Telmo Pievani will be in conversation with him.
