Sonia Canu

Sonia Canu was born in Sardinia in 1994, and during her classical studies, her interest in books deepened.
She moved to Turin to attend the Faculty of Management and then entered the field of museum management,
holding various positions. Meanwhile, she furthered her training in communications and copywriting.
The two authors met in Turin's museum scene, where they combined their respective interests and skills to
collaborate on various artistic and cultural initiatives.
Their short story, "Azad," was selected for publication, and their photograph, "Parole Libere," won the
Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Special Prize at the 19th edition of the "Lingua Madre" national literary competition
, with the following citation: "Strong words, those we see written on a piece of paper
held out to the sky by a hand. Woman, life, freedom: three nouns that seek to underscore the role of women in the
contemporary context, their right to fully experience their femininity—indeed, to affirm it
as a value—and the freedom that comes from it.
