Silvia Vecchini is an author and poet. She has published novels for children and young adults, poetry collections, illustrated books, and graphic novels with some of Italy's leading publishing houses. Her latest publications include the poetry collection Acerbo sarai tu (Topipittori) and the novel in verse Prima che sia notte (Bompiani). With Sualzo, she is the author of the graphic novels Fiato sospeso (Tunuè), La zona rossa (2018 Attilio Micheluzzi Award for "Best Comic Book for Young People"), 21 giorni alla fine del mondo (2021 Unicef Youth Literature Prize), and Le parole posso tutto (2021 Laura Orvieto Award, Liber Award for "Best Book 2021," and Attilio Micheluzzi Award for "Best Screenplay" 2022), the last three published by Il Castoro and all translated internationally. She designs courses for schools and meets with children and young adults in libraries and bookstores for readings and poetry workshops.
