Sara Mazzarotto

Born in Venice in 1997, Sara Mazzarotto studied at the "C. Pollini" Conservatory in Padua in the violin class of Sonig Tchakerian, graduating with top marks cum laude at the age of eighteen. She continued her studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and earned a master's degree under the guidance of Maestros Ilya Grubert and Maria Milstein. Since 2020, she has attended masterclasses held by Maestro Salvatore Accardo at the Walter Stauffer Academy in Cremona and at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, and since 2022, she has studied at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in the violin class of Sonig Tchakerian. She has also attended masterclasses with Eliot Lawson, Pavel Vernikov, Gyorgy Pauk, Liviu Prunaru, Mathieu van Bellen, Piero Toso, Marco Rizzi, Michael Barenboim, and Massimo Quarta. A prizewinner at prestigious violin competitions such as the Vasco Abadjiev and Emil Kamilarov in Sofia and the InterCordes in Paris, Sara Mazzarotto performs a repertoire ranging from Baroque to contemporary music. In 2023, she received major awards at the North International Music Competition and the Riccardo Cerocchi Prize, and in 2024, she won the first prize for New Music at the Palmanova International Competition.
