Patrick Ness
Who is?
Born in 1971, he is one of the leading contemporary children's authors. Critically acclaimed for his "Chaos Walking" trilogy, he has won numerous awards, including the Carnegie Medal and the Guardian Children's Fiction Prize. He is the creator and screenwriter of Class , a spin-off of the popular Doctor Who series . For Mondadori, he has published the novels While We Remain Here , And the Ocean Was Our Sky , and Seven Minutes Past Midnight , for which he won the Galaxy Children's Book of the Year award in 2011.
