Oscar Farinetti was born in Alba in 1954. An entrepreneur, he is known worldwide for founding Eataly and launching the new Green Pea project. He has written Coccodé (Giunti, 2009), Seven Moves for Italy (Giunti 2011), with Shigeru Hayashi Stories of Courage (Mondadori 2013), Eat with Bread (Mondadori 2015), In the Blue (Feltrinelli 2015), Let's Remember the Future (Feltrinelli 2017), Almost (La nave di Teseo 2018), History of Human Sentiments (La nave di Teseo 2019), with Piergiorgio Odifreddi Dialogue between a Cynic and a Dreamer (Rizzoli 2019), and an “unauthorized” autobiography, Never Quiet (Rizzoli 2021). In 2020, he published his greatest editorial success for Slow Food Editore: Serendipity.
