Mother Tongue

The Lingua Madre National Literary Competition is a permanent project of the Piedmont Region and the Turin International Book Fair, conceived in 2005 by Daniela Finocchi and aimed at migrant women, their daughters, and all those who identify with multiple belongings. A special section is dedicated to Italian women who, despite not having foreign origins, wish to connect with the Other. To listen to the voices of those who often don't have one, but have much to say: as women and as migrants.
