Luigi Ballerini
Who is?
He is one of Italy's most beloved authors for adults and children, and is a journalist and physician with a background in psychoanalysis. He has published over thirty novels, winning the Andersen Prize in 2014 (Miss Euforbia, San Paolo) and the Bancarellino Prize in 2016 (I Am Zero, Castoro). His books have been translated into over twenty languages, earning numerous awards, including international recognition. A freelance journalist, he covers educational issues for several national publications and supervises schools, meeting with teachers, parents, and children. He is the creator and author of animated TV characters and series. Since 2019, he has directed the Flannery O'Connor Writing School for Children at the Milan Cultural Center.
