John Bietti

Giovanni Bietti, composer, pianist, and musicologist, is considered one of Italy's leading music communicators. He is one of the authors and hosts of Lezioni di Musica, a highly popular program on Rai Radio 3, and regularly holds concert-lectures at many of Italy's most prestigious institutions, including La Scala, the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, and the Teatro La Fenice in Venice. He collaborates with major international events, such as the Cartagena Festival in Colombia. He participated, alongside Piero Angela, in five episodes of the prestigious program Superquark Musica on Rai 1 and is the creator and host of the twelve episodes of Musica da camera con vista for Rai 5. For Laterza, he is the author of Ascoltare Beethoven (2013), Mozart all'opera (2015), Lo spartito del mondo. Breve storia del dialogo tra culture in musica (2018), La musica della luce. Dal illuto alla Ninth Symphony (2021), and Ascoltare Verdi (2021).
