Dario Bressanini

Dario Bressanini is an Italian university researcher, teacher, and author. He has worked as a professor of physical chemistry at the Department of Chemical and Environmental Sciences at the University of Insubria in Como, and as a science communicator and editor of the monthly column "Pentole e Provette" for the magazine "Le Scienze." He also writes the blog "Scienza in cucina." His various publications include: GMOs between legends and reality (Zanichelli 2009), The mathematical games of Fra' Luca Pacioli (Dedalo 2011), Bread and lies (Chiarelettere 2010), Against nature. From GMOs to "organic," false alarms and hidden truths about the food we bring to the table (Rizzoli 2015). He has published The Science of Pastry (2014), The Science of Meat (2016), The Science of Vegetables (2019), and The Science of Cleaning (2022) for Gribaudo . In 2023, his first comic, Doctor Newtron. Science in Comics , was published by Feltrinelli. This was followed in 2024 by The Doctor Newtron Club .
