Chiara Valentina Segré

Chiara Valentina Segré, born in Milan in 1982, is a biologist, science communicator, and head of scientific supervision at the Umberto Veronesi Foundation. She has published over twenty books, including picture books and novels for children and young adults. For Camelozampa, she is the author of L'albero, la nuvola e la bambina (The Tree, the Cloud, and the Little Girl), Oscar il gatto custodethe Guardian Cat), winner of the Giacomo Giulitto Award for best book for children aged 6-10, and Lola e io (Lola and I), selected for the IBBY Collection of Outstanding Books for Young People with Disabilities and also published in Canada, China, Korea, Japan, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Taiwan, and the United States.
