Alessandro Mustazzolu
Who is?

Alessandro Mustazzolu is a microbiologist, specifically a microbacteriologist, a biologist specializing in microbiology and virology, who has long focused on surveillance and research into mycobacteria, particularly the mycobacteria responsible for tuberculosis. His scientific career began in the laboratories of the San Camillo-Forlanini Hospital, a former Roman sanatorium, and developed rapidly, first through collaborations with private laboratories and then through work experience, which continues to this day, at the most important research center in Italy, the Istituto Superiore di Sanità. His work as a microbiologist has involved him in laboratory analyses and experiments, as a teacher at schools, universities, and conferences, and as the author of several publications in international journals. For several years, he has also been creating microbiological content on Instagram and YouTube.
