ABL Friends of Libraries and Reading OdV
Who is?

ABL-Friends of Libraries and Reading (a non-profit volunteer organization) was founded in 1999. Inspired by the principles of human solidarity, the association's mission is to promote reading and lifelong learning, with a particular focus on children and young people aged 0 to 19. To this end, ABL supports public reading and the development of libraries, promotes opportunities for meeting between public library staff, teachers, users, publishers, booksellers, and prominent figures in the local and international cultural scene, and contributes to the organization of conferences, seminars, training courses, workshops, events, traveling exhibitions, and similar initiatives related to reading. The Association's volunteers have the valuable role of acting as "mediators" between the library's heritage and young people. Since its inception, the ABL has collaborated closely with the Cuneo Civic Library and the Cuneo Library System to implement its reading promotion activities aimed at young people: guided tours for schools, reading programs, and training sessions for parents and educators.
