Before becoming the flagship discipline of the Winter Olympics, the sport of the great idols of the recent past and the champions of today, and the countless enthusiasts who flock to the Alpine valleys every winter, skiing was a technology born in prehistory, a cultural object that has evolved over the centuries, and which has found, in the different eras and social contexts in which it developed, diverse functions and uses. Il pendio bianco (Diabolo Edizioni) is an innovative work that combines historical rigor with the lightness of comics to recount the transformation of skiing over time: from a hunting tool and means of transportation to a global sporting and cultural phenomenon.
