In "The School Burns" (Piemme), Mario Varrella recounts a suburban school where the gymnasium, once a refuge and symbol of community, becomes the scene of a mysterious fire. Around this event, circles of questions, solidarity, and growth form: the young teacher Stefano guides the students to rediscover hope and the possibility of starting over together with others, within new circles of listening and possibility. The circle becomes a space for encounter and exploration, where even amidst the embers, a sense of togetherness can be reborn.
