Do you know the true story behind the Assassin Order? Did you know who the stormtroopers were, who could predict the weather by observing cats? Or that newborns were hung from the ceiling in suspended cradles? From A for Animals to Z for Mop, Manlio Castagna (Il Medioevo dalla A alla Mop, Il Castoro) opens many windows onto the Middle Ages, revealing bizarre anecdotes, unimaginable professions, and surprising truths about an era that seems increasingly distant but hides more than one surprise (at least one per letter).
NB: the author is available to meet with multiple classes at the same time, if the school provides suitable space.
