All it takes is a shadow in the woods, an unfamiliar voice, to send all the animals of the Clover Forest running. But imagination, when it runs faster than truth, risks turning even the most harmless neighbor into a monster. Valentina Pericci and Erika De Pieri (The Woodland Monster, Emme Edizioni) craft an adventurous and entertaining story in which Hare and his friends learn, by laughing at their own fears, that what seems frightening from afar can, when approached, reveal itself as an opportunity for discovery and new friendship. This book invites little ones to look beyond their first glance and to let in, as if through an open window, what previously seemed threatening.
