Created and coordinated by Federico Faloppa and Pier Mario Giovannone

A literary competition with just one class: the theatrical monologue. Sponsored by the Comune di Cuneo. 

Entry is free and open to anyone who wants to take part, to Italian or foreign writers, famous or unknown, no age limit. The only conditions are that the text – on any theme or of any length – is written in Italian and is unpublished.  

The monologues will be appraised by a panel of judges who will select six authors from which will be chosen the outright winner. Members of the judges panel are: Guido Davico Bonino (president), Marco Bosonetto, Giuseppe Cederna, Federico Faloppa, Carlo Giuseppe Gabardini, Pier Mario Giovannone.

During the prize-giving ceremony – that will take place in November 2006 at Cuneo, during the festival Scrittorincittà 2006 – the scripts of the six winning authors will be read by the actors Michele Di Mauro and Tatiana Lepore, together with music by the jazz musician Gabriele Mirabassi.

The six winning monologues will be published in a single work sponsored by the publishers Nerosubianco.
